Network Networking

Network topology is physical or logical layout pattern of network design. We offer network topology services to shape the interconnection of various networking hardware and software components. Physical topology includes the design, location and cable installation. Logical topology describes that how data is actually transferred. It is the virtual shape and structure of the network. It describes the configuration and paths through which the signals will go while they pass over the network.

Network topology can be made in bus, ring, star, tree and mesh shape. These five topologies are the basic and most commonly used topologies.

  • Bus:
    In the bus shape topology, all the nodes of a network are connected to a common transmission medium having two endpoints. All the devices are connected in a linear shape. It may be linear or distributed.

  • Ring:
    All the communication messages travel in the same directory whether clockwise or anti-clockwise in a ring network. It can be used for LAN or small networking connections.

  • Star topology:
    It is mostly used for LAN networking design. All the devices are connected to a central device (i.e. switch or router) with the pair of twisted cables. It may be extended or distributed.

  • Tree:
    It is the mixture of star and bus topology. The devices are connected directly with the tree bus and each tree hub functions as a root of a tree of the network devices.

  • Mesh:
    It is based on the concept of networking routes. Messages find their routes and make the ways to reach the receiver. Devices directly connected to every other device are included in full mesh topology while in partial design every device is connected indirectly to other device.
